The Best Way to Getting a Free PS3

A games console such as the PlayStation 3 has a price tag of anything between £240 and £300 for the basic console, so this can be seen as quite an expensive luxury item.
There are now ways and mean available on the internet own a free PS3. Now, the fact you are looking for a free ps3 means there are going to be absolutely no costs to yourself. Am I correct? Well welcome to the real world. Lets get to the point; I for one do not think that 'free' actually exists.
However if something has a value of £300 then paying £5 for it is pretty much free in my opinion!
Here are a couple of ways of getting that elusive 'free' PS3!
There are a lot of web sites that rely on offering incentives, such as free PS3's, in order to increase traffic for a particular site. I am extremely skeptical by nature and so my initial react to this way of gaining free gifts off the internet is what I would call a 'scam.' I must admit that I haven't tried to do it but after a bit of research and learning that the BBC and CNN have both reported on this topic, I thought it may be worth some consideration.
It works by signing up to a referral web site (there are absolutely hundreds of these on the net) and they get you to try out free and trial offers of a service or product. They are assuming that if they can get the product into your hands, then they can persuade you into buying the product or service. The original site that then referred the gets paid enough to give you a free gift and make a profit. You also have to refer people yourself to the referral site but evidence seems to suggest that most people do in fact receive the product they have desired for free.
Another method to gain a free PS3 is to sign up for a mobile contract and get it as a free gift. This is a great idea if indeed you are going to be spending money on the said contract anyway. A lot of companies, in the UK at least, offer a free promotional gift to customers as the mobile phone market is so competitive. The same phone, with the same minutes and text messages are available across a wide number of networks and through different stores and so any extra incentive, such as a free gift can be the only difference to gaining an extra customer. In my opinion, this is by far the most secure and effective way of receiving a free PS3.
